Hi, I'm Juan. I'm a UX designer with 10 years in healthtech, focused on making complex tools easy to understand.
About
For 10 years, I worked with healthcare and education clients at Phreesia, Tebra and Amplifire. I ran demos, led discovery calls and met every week with clinic staff and enterprise leaders. A big part of my job was bringing what clients told me back to our Product teams. I didn't have the title yet, but I was already doing the part of UX I love most: understanding what people need and why.
Today I'm a UX designer, trained through Designlab's UX Academy. I'm especially drawn to healthcare, where I spent my career, and to people who feel left behind by technology. I care about plain language, accessibility and testing with real people. My projects keep proving that one unclear word can make someone give up.

Testimonials
"Juan approached this process positively and demonstrated a willingness to listen, incorporate feedback, and improve his work rather than treating an initial design as the final answer."
Michael Navarro, Founder and CEO, TiriVelo
"The Trust & Safety page required him to organize a significant amount of information around provider verification, safety practices, and trust signals while keeping the experience approachable and easy to understand."
